Many times during the day we have opportunity to talk about ourselves. It is a fine line between being confident and conceited. The biggest difference is the motivation for why you say, or do a behavior. If you are using your personal accolades as data points or are simply excited about what is happening in your life then that is a form of confidence.
However, if you say or do certain things but are attempting to steer the conversation so people are impressed with you or wanting to covertly “one-up” the other person, then that is a form of conceit. Once you are honest with yourself it will allow you to freely give yourself compliments and be proud of the accomplishments you have achieved without the shroud of conceit. No one likes a conceited person.
