LIFEOLOGY® – Episode 162: How to stop your anxious thoughts

We all have anxious thoughts that keep us up late at night. Usually, those thoughts are full of worst-case scenarios. A really good way to counteract these thoughts is to use your 5 senses. Your sense of hearing automatically causes you to focus on your surroundings.

Use your speaking voice to interrupt the thoughts by asking yourself the likelihood that your fears will come to pass. If you struggle with giving yourself healthy advice, speak aloud what your best friend would tell you.

When you continue to speak aloud to yourself it quickly decreases the anxiety and reduces anxious thoughts.
